sjskills: scope-aware restore identities and Windows symlink test skip - #30
Conversation
Global desired sources are always remote and global inventory already distrusts `local:` provenance, but restore validated identities without scope. A tampered global quarantine could therefore restore a record that the next global plan would treat as untrusted. Restore now uses a scope-aware check so it fails at restore time instead. … privileges Windows hosts without Developer Mode or elevation cannot create symlinks. Skip that one subtest there, as the other symlink tests already do, so the full suite passes locally; Linux CI still exercises it. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>

- Around line 205-206: Update the symlink setup in the test around os.Symlink so
Windows skips only for recognized errors indicating symlinks are unavailable;
fail the test for all other errors, preserving the unsafe-configuration
assertions.
Review comments at @internal/sjskills/classify.go:
- Line 590: Rewrite the boolean condition in the function containing this return
to eliminate the QF1001 lint finding, applying De Morgan’s law to the negated
conjunction. Preserve the existing behavior and canonical identity checks.

Skip the Windows symlink subtest only for ERROR_PRIVILEGE_NOT_HELD so any other symlink failure still fails the test, and express the scope check without a negated conjunction. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>

fix): restore now refuseslocal:source identities in global scope. Global inventory already distrusted them, so a tampered global quarantine could previously restore a record that the next global plan would then block on. It now fails at restore time. Covered byTestRestoreRejectsLocalIdentityInGlobalScope.test):TestDefaultStatusNestedAndUnsafeConfiguration/symlinknow skips on Windows when the host cannot create symlinks, matching the existing symlink tests. Linux CI still runs it.Validation
